WWE Signs New Superstar

Posted by Taimur Asghar On 5:47 PM 0 comments
After months of speculation about a possible deal, WWE has finally signed Dos Caras, Jr. to a contract.

Under the terms of the deal, the former CMLL luchador is set to head straight to the main roster on a brand to be determined. Though he will retain proprietary rights over his name and gimmick, WWE will have full license to use his likeness for the three year contract.

He has been relieved of all outstanding Mexican booking commitments, so he should be able to make his WWE debut shortly.

Eric Bischoff on this week's Raw

Posted by Taimur Asghar On 5:37 PM 0 comments
Eric Bischoff has a blog up on his official website at this link providing a review of this past week's three-hour edition of WWE Monday Night Raw.

Important points are.

Jericho and Rey was fun to watch, and both men have great matches still to come, but from a story line point of view…been there done this so many times, its hard to get into the angle.

Love hearing Jim Ross’s voice on at least part of RAW. Can’t imagine the show without him. I’m glad he’s on the only episode I have watched in a while.

The VKM announcement of the new GM tease was weak at best…is it me or are Vince’s ears gaining size on his head?

Triple H’s entrance is weak, old and so tired I went to go floss my teeth when it started. He looks like a Lhasa Apso genetic experiment gone bad. Get him some new music for Gods sake, and a hair-cut. One word describes HHH character: dated.

The VKM revelation that he “sold RAW” was lame. When you start out a story line with a premise that is completely unbelievable, should it be a surprise that the audiences gags on it? Trump isn’t good in this role and is too forced. My guess is that Trump will bring in Ric to handle day-to-day duties on his behalf, and at least give fans something to get excited about for a while.

CM Punk was the best interview I heard all night. He’s believable, his in ring work is great, and he’s comfortable in his character. Props on the respect for Masawa. Can’t say enough good things about him.

I was glad to see some of the guys I’ve worked with in the past, as well as really getting a chance to get my first real look at CM Punk. I don’t think I could get myself to sit through another 3 hour show, but look forward to checking out another Raw next time my schedule (and wife) permits it.

Santino Marella’s music hits and he makes his way to the ring to hit the show. Marella gets in and grabs a mic because he has “little bit message” for Chavo Guerrero. Marella says he must be so lonely now that his Aunt Vickie went “wee, wee, wee all the way home,” but that wasn’t his fault. That was the work of his “very hot” sister Santina. Tonight will be his fault though. Tonight he’s going to administer a fate that’s even worse than waking up in the morning and being Chavo Guerrero. Those are “the words for fighting.” Marella tells him to come down and take his beating like “A MANS.”

Match # 1 : Santino Marella vs. Chavo Guerrero
Winner by Pinfall: Chavo Guerrero
Santino slips from the 2nd rope and hit himself in Chavo's boot. Chavo covers and get pin fall.
