Update of Edge's Health

Posted by Taimur Asghar On 11:16 PM 0 comments

In an interview that he did last week in Fresno, CA in promotion with tonight's Smackdown/ECW tapings, Edge talked about the Ladder Match that he did with Jeff Hardy at the 6/7 Extreme Rules PPV. About the bout he said, "That one really took it out of me. Ten years ago if we did that match you know maybe in a few days we would have felt a lot better. We were 10 years younger though. Now, it took me almost a full week before I could walk upright. It took a while to recuperate from that one." He said that when you saw he and Jeff moving slowly during the match had for Smackdown a couple of days later it was because they were hurting. He said now that he's "not too bad". He didn't mention this, but it's also why he was not in the mix for The Bash going in to the event.

Predictions: WWE's The Bash

Posted by Taimur Asghar On 12:56 AM 0 comments

Here are my pridictions for Tonight's PPV The Bash :

Match # 1 : NO DQ Dolph Ziggler vs. The Great Khali.

In the real world there is no way Ziggler would stand a chance against The Great Khali, but i think that WWE wanted to make ziggler a superstar for which he is feuding The Great Khali.
What so ever im seeing Ziggler wins tonight and will use chair or something else to defeat Khali out.

Match # 2 : John Cena vs. The Miz

This 1 is hard to predict because The Miz cant defeat John Cena. But i think The Miz will walk out victorious with the help of Big Show.

Match # 3 : WWE WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP
Melina (champion) vs. Michelle McCool

McCool is more attractive, talented, doesn't whine, and seems like a more enjoyable person to be around so I pick her.

Match # 4 : UNIFIED TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
Colons (champions) vs. Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase Jr.A.K.A Legacy.

I think DX invasion tour is coming and HHH andHBK will go for the tag belts. I also think that Colons have their time as tag champions. So, Legacy will win then DX will take belts from them.

Match # 5 : INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP (TITLE VS. MASK MATCH)
Chris Jericho (champion) vs. Rey Mysterio

This 1 is hard to predict, could b the match of the night, im seeing a DQ here. Both Rey and Y2J retains Mask and Title respectively.

Match # 6 : ECW CHAMPIONSHIP (SCRAMBLE MATCH)
Tommy Dreamer (champion) vs. Mark Henry vs. Jack Swagger
vs.Christian vs. Finlay.

Any 1 can win in Scramble match but im choosing Fit Finaly. I think he needs the belt now and there making is also pointing toward this that no 1 is save from Finaly. Second chance will be Tommy Dreamer..

Match # 7 : WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
CM Punk (champion) vs. Jeff Hardy

Jeff's contract going to end and CM Punk turning heel. I think Jeff won by DQ, Punk using some objects and retains the belt. Second option is Jeff got fired by Vince.

Match # 8 : WWE CHAMPIONSHIP (THREE STAGES OF HELL)
Randy Orton (champion) vs. HHH

Ortan wins. HHH wins wrestling match. Other 2 Ortan wins by the help of Legacy. Easy 1 to predict.

Interesting WWE Notes.

- Hornswoggle presented the staff at the Resch Center in Green Bay with a replica WWE Title belt last week for their handling of the refunds that were a part of the Donald Trump storyline.

- Just thought you'd be interested to know that John Cena has officially been in WWE for 7 Years now (official televised debut). 7 Years ago today (yesterday, Saturday) John made his debut on our TV screens and faced off against Kurt Angle.

- You never know if Matt Hardy is posting a cryptic message on his social sites or just leading everyone online on these days but he's posted some messages on Twitter in the past few days after hinting about seeing a doctor in Raleigh, NC last week after reports of him being injured again. Here are the Tweets from his twitter page:

  • "A Brand New Matt Hardy Is Coming.. Be Ready!!!"
  • "Good night for real guys and gals.. And don't sweat it peeps, the changes are gonna be tough but ALL good.. Adios Amigos!!"
  • "Good night everyone! I am about to go through some of the most dramatic changes in my life in a long time over the next couple of weeks."
  • "I good two words for ya... Second Opinion! Anyway, I'm chowing down at the finest Mongolian BBQ grill in NC, mmmm!"

WWE Cshanges 2 PPV Names

* The October 4th No Mercy pay-per-view is now called Hell in a Cell. This show is expected to have the top matches take place in a Hell in a Cell. At one point there was a plan to have Randy Orton vs. Triple H at SummerSlam in a Hell in a Cell match but that plan might be changed now.

* The Cyber Sunday pay-per-view on October 25th has been changed to WWE Annihilation. Presumably this will be the event with the top matches on the card having submission stipulations.

He call Teddy out and says what will you do to entertain us tonight and he announces the main event for the tonight's show which will feature Edge & Intercontinental Champion Chris Jericho vs Jeff Hardy & Rey Mysterio With World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk as guest referee. Vine put Teddy Long on “probation.”

Match # 1 : R-Truth vs. Shelton Benjamin

R-Truth endured a vicious verbal assault from his opponent, Shelton Benjamin. The mean-spirited lashing fueled a quick and aggressive offense from Truth during their match. Benjamin eventually turned the tables, putting Truth on the defensive. But in the end, Truth prevailed when he dropped The Gold Standard with a Lie Detector.

Winner : R-Truth

Match # 2 : Michelle McCool & Alicia Fox vs Melina & Gail Kim

After the match Melina was still feeling the effects of the encounter.

Match # 3 : John Morrison vs World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk

They shake hands in the start of the match. Very good match indeed and JoMo gets the pin after the series of counters and roll ups. After the match, they shook hands again but Punk jumped him and used the Go to sleep.Never seen this kind of stuff befor from CM Punk. CM Punk's face impression shows that he regrets what has he done

Winner : John Morrison.

Match # 4 : Edge & Intercontinental Champion Chris Jericho vs Jeff Hardy & Rey Mysterio In rang in the cage match. World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk as special guest referee

With World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk as guest referee, Edge & Chris Jericho went to war with Jeff Hardy & Rey Mysterio in a "Rage in the Cage" Match. In the end, it was Edge & Intercontinental Champion Chris Jericho who prevailed when The Rated-R Superstar avoided a Twist of Fate from Hardy and stunned the high-flyer with a hard-hitting spear.

After the match was over, CM Punk, perhaps being sarcastic, offered up his praises for Hardy, saying he fought a good fight despite losing the match.

We see punk standing with his title above his hand and smiling and we go to credits.

Posted by Taimur Asghar On 6:21 PM 0 comments

According to a new report by The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE has decided they will not be offering Ric Flair a new contract and the word making the rounds is that they have no plans to use Flair on television. This is largely being considered a business decision on the part of WWE as they don't want to sign him as they don't want anyone under contract whose bookings they don't have full control over.

Ted DiBiase on growing up with his father as a star: "Not many kids can say that. No other kids wanted to go to their dad's accounting office and sit there with him. But I was dying to go with my dad to the arenas and hang out in back with the guys and see it all going on."

Cody Rhodes on Dusty and his career: "My father knew that it could be a hard life. He didn't know if I could handle that. He wasn't sure if I had thick enough skin. But it's also changed so much from the time my father was in it. My experience is my own experience. So far it's been wonderful. I talk to him every day. I've never called him and said, 'I hate working here.' "

Rhodes on kids in the crowd: "We were at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C., a few months ago, I overheard two of our wrestlers, John Cena and Dave Batista, talking. Dave looked out at the crowd and said, "I'm used to seeing lots of pretty girls in this arena, but there are so many kids. Isn't this incredible?' John looked at him and said, 'Yep, when there were pretty girls in the arena, it was half full. Now the entire arena is full.' "

Rhodes on amateur wrestling: "I was actually going to wrestle at Penn State, but the (pro wrestling) bug caught up with me. Having that high school wrestling background did help me in WWE. We are sports entertainment here, but there's still a ring with three ropes and a mat underneath you."

Rhodes on Legacy's work: "The three of us put a lot of time into everything that you see us do in the ring. Everyone in The Legacy goes back and watches the broadcasts of our matches and asks themselves what we did good and what we can do better. There's a constant text-messaging battle that goes on between the three of us."

Pitted against two former champions who were eager to regain the United States Championship, the explosive Kingston overcame the odds and held onto his gold in an exciting main event. The Jamaican Superstar may owe some of his victory to the fact that Matt Hardy and MVP could not get past their torrid history and spent as much time battling each other as they did Kingston. While Hardy and The Ballin’ Superstar waged a war of their own, Kingston took the opportunity to capitalize and wins the match and retains the title by hitting Trouble in Paradise on Matt Hardy.

Bourne hit another flying knee and went up top for the shooting star press. That led to the decisive three count.

Winner: Even Bourne

Finlay is in the ring explaining that he attacked Christian and Tommy Dreamer last week because he hurt his eye breaking up their fight last week. Ryder interrupted, he said his catchphrases and they went to a commercial before the match began

Match # 2 :Finlay vs. Zach Ryder

Finlay held a top wrist lock to start. Finlay hit some European uppercuts and they locked up for a bit. They then did a collision spot and Ryder retook the advantage. Ryder went to work on the head/eye with nothing exciting for a bit. Finlay hit an inverted atomic drop and a series of clotheslines. Finlay connected with the rolling hills for a near fall. Swagger hit a knee drop and choked away along the ropes. Henry did his usual offense for a bit before tagging out. Swagger held a rear chin lock and went to work in the corner. Dreamer hit a spinebuster and that allowed Dreamer to tag in Christian. The hot tag spot doesn’t work when you have Mark Henry in the spot of the guy supposed to be bumping for the babyface. Christian hit two dropkicks off of the second rope to finally drop Henry and get a two count. Swagger came in and was promptly sent out to the floor. Christian tried for a sunset flip on Henry in the corner but couldn’t get him over. Swagger made a blind tag which allowed him to sneak in and try for the gutwrench power bomb. Christian slipped out and into a roll up for a near fall. Christian then hit the kill switch, but Tony Atlas pulled Swagger’s foot under the bottom rope to save the match. Dreamer came over and clotheslined Atlas to the floor. Christian then tried to dive onto Henry but was caught and rammed into the post. Henry slid Christian back inside the ring where Swagger was now able to hit the gutwrench power bomb for the victory.

RAW REPORT..

Posted by Taimur Asghar On 3:24 PM 0 comments
We start off tonight’s show with a look back at the Four Way Match to find out who would follow Dave Batista as the WWE Champion. But the title change was not the biggest thing to happen on Raw last week. Vince McMahon sold Raw and he sold it to a man who likes to put his name on everything before most of it goes into Chapter 11. Trump says that he is going to run things the way he runs things.

Are you Ready to Trump?

We are live from Green Bay, Wisconsin and your announcers are Michael ‘Trump’ Cole and Jerry ‘Trump’ Lawler.

Lillian Garcia introduces the man who owns Raw, Donald Trump and he comes out onto the stage. Trump welcomes everyone to Raw. He says that even though he owns Raw, this is the fan’s show, not his. Trump says that tonight millions of people will be watching commercial free. Trump says that they will not only get world championship matches better than Vince could give you, he is a giver. When the show is over, he will give everyone a full refund for whatever they paid. Trump says that you he is giving back $245,000. Donald says that only Trump would do that.

John Cena comes to the ring and he has new gear. He takes his hat off to Donald Trump. Cena talks about the Last Man Standing Match between Hunter and Randy Orton. Cena mentions that he is in a match with the Big Show. Cena says that when the show is over, everyone will get free money. Cena says that Trump has been here two minutes and he knows how to make an impact. Cena says that Trump is trying to make a statement, just like the wrestlers.

We see a Miz video package about John Cena.

Cena says that Miz has something so interesting to say. Cena says that we should find out what Miz has to say this week and he wants Miz to come out.

Cena gets his wish and The Miz comes out. Miz asks Cena if he really wants to know what he has to say. Miz says that he has told Cena everything and John has done nothing. He calls Cena a coward. Cena says that it is interesting that Miz is calling him a coward while he is on the stage while John is in the ring. Miz makes his way to the ring and he gets in Cena’s face. Miz calls Cena a coward to his face. Cena goes for the fourth wall and he says that this is the time when the Miz would be picking up his teeth. Cena says that he will give Miz exactly what he wants. Cena says that Miz wants to be awesome and he tells Miz that he has his chance. Cena says that it is a good news/bad news situation. Cena says that Miz will main event a pay per view at the Bash when he has a match against John Cena. The bad news is that on Sunday, the Miz has a main event pay per view match with John Cena.

Cena suddenly gets serious and he says that for two months, Miz has been coming out saying whatever he wants to get Cena rattled. Cena talks about all of the times when he has had the odds against him, but he is still here. Cena says that he doesn’t get rattled. Cena says that rattled is when you hear your bones start to crack when he puts you in the STF. He says that you are rattled when you look around and see that you brought a knife to a gun fight. Cena says that in six days, Miz will realize that the Real World has been cancelled. He says that Miz will be a WWE never was instead of a Reality Show Has Been after Sunday. Cena says that this is when Miz goes to the back and pray that he makes it out of Sunday in one piece. Miz starts to walk away, but he tosses his mic at Cena and then he punches Cena before heading to the back.

We go to footage from earlier in the day when Vince has limo problems. Vince says that he has the back up limo since Trump has the main one. The driver suggests going to a gas station and Vince says that he has never been to a gas station. The driver suggests that they walk to the arena. Vince says that he does not walk. Vince tells the driver that they are going to walk, well the driver is because Vince is getting a piggy back ride. Vince says that he is going to drive to the arena while the driver is down with an injury.

It is time to go to Jim ‘Stone Cold Brett Favre’ Ross and Todd ‘Kentucky Grilled’ Grisham and they talk about Vince’s farewell address.

We see footage of Rey Mysterio’s heinous attack on Chris Jericho to give Jeff Hardy a non-title victory over Chris Jericho last week on Smackdown.

After the match, CM Punk leaves the chicken at the announce table and he goes into the ring to congratulate Jeff Hardy. Punk holds up his arm and Hardy realizes that it was Punk. Hardy leaves the ring.

Vince McMahon is in the arena and he tries to get into Trump’s office. Vince says that there must be a mistake and he looks for security. Instead, Santina Marella appears behind Vince and she introduces herself to him. Vince slaps her hand away. Vince talks about the refund and how he is locked out of his office.

Trump comes out and Vince says that there might be a mistake. Trump says that the mistake must be on his part. Vince asks where his office is and Trump says that it is down the hall. Trump asks Santina who she is and he says that he is going to do the same thing to Santina that he did to Miss California. He fires her. She runs away and Santino wants to know where she is going. Santino thinks that there must be something he can do. Then he figures that she had a good run.

Did you know that a lot of male viewers watched Raw last week (but nothing about Smackdown’s ratings compared to the Stanley Cup Finals Game 7).

Primo has the mic and he says that Cody and Teddy call themselves ‘The Legacy’. They get to hang out with the WWE Champion. Goldust puts it on Vince’s head and they laugh. They tell Vince where his office is and it turns out to be a bathroom stall. Vince says that he wants a little dignity. We see Randy Orton walking out of the building and he goes to his car but Hunter attacks Orton from behind and slams the trunk on Orton’s back. Hunter lies down next to Orton and he says that it is not over by a long shot and Orton is going to hell.

We go to credits.
