According to a report by The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there are said to be plans for Shawn Michaels to return to WWE at SummerSlam in a few weeks on August 23. He had initially talked about taking an extended amount of time off from WWE through 2009 and returning in 2010 to build to a new program for WrestleMania 26. Michaels has been taking time off from WWE since WrestleMania 25 in early April following his match with The Undertaker, who is expected to return to WWE in September unless plans change. Although plans and ideas can change between now and August, the plan right now is for Michaels to return at SummerSlam, while Triple H vs. John Cena has been scheduled as a possible match as well.

~Taz recently revealed on his Twitter page that WWE asked him to be the guest host for next Monday's Raw. Taz said; “BTW-WWE asked me to be the Guest host on Raw next week...i said "no thanks".

~Mr. Kennedy also revealed on his Twitter page that he got permission from "the powers that be" within WWE to work Carlos Colon's WWC Anniversary show against Umaga on Saturday.

~Kennedy wrote, “I am officially scheduled to wrestle Umaga in Puerto Rico this Saturday, July 11th for Carlos Colon's WWC Anniversary show!!” and “I have permission from "the powers that be" within the WWE to do the show.............”.

Jim Ross is back with a post-RAW blog from last night. Here are some of the highlights:

~The Million Dollar Man, Ted DiBiase, came off as the shining star of the program in my view. MDM was a new face/voice and add a fresh element to the show that worked for me. Every weekly, episodic TV broadcast, including and especially a wrestling show needs "new" and DiBiase provided "new."

~Can Carlito and Primo grow and evolve on the same TV show without it always being about the two of them at odds? My suggestion would be to do another trade and move one of them off Raw and to another brand. Can Primo become the "next Eddy Guerrero?" That might be challenging.

~RKO vs. DiBiase=A Wrestlemania Main Event some day in this decade.

~Lilian Garcia is reportedly, by her on admission, leaving soon to get married and perhaps start a family. I wish Lilian well, love her voice, and can't wait for her "book" to come out. That last part was a joke.

~Matt Hardy has had surgery according to Matt Hardy so I guess we won't be seeing Matt on SD for a few weeks. Matt needs some good luck and a few main event ops. My advice to Matt is to rely on your instincts, Twitter your ass off while you are on the mend, come back with the mindset that no one is better, don't date any more Divas, and do not use one, Dr. Heiney. I'm just saying.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that During HHH's recent tour of Japan, He reportedly pushed the names of Evan Bourne and Jack Swagger as some of the company's best new talent. It comes as no surprise that only weeks later both were pushed from the ECW brand over to Raw.

All indications are that Jeff Hardy still remains contractually uncommitted to a future in WWE.

While no one anticipates Hardy leaving for a rival group, it remains interesting that the wrestler WWE officials reportedly view, according to the Wrestling Observer, as the "most popular" babyface in the company is main-eventing WWE pay-per-views without a long-term commitment to the company.

According to wrestling gossip website The Sun, Hardy told Spain's Cuatro Network that he is hesitant to seal his long-term fate even while knowing he has as much as a decade left in the ring.

Hardy said."I don't know - I am 31 years old now and I don't like making plans for the future. I can wrestle until I am 40 but I don't want to make plans, I don't like thinking about what could happen between now and the next five years,"

The expectation from most industry sources is that Hardy will ultimately sign, presumably contingent on some sort of hiatus at the end of the summer.

It appears Edge may have injured his leg during his match with Jeff Hardy at tonight’s house show. After four or five minutes of drawing audience participation, including Edge pretending to slip off the ropes the two performers finally engaged in a collar and elbow tie up. Shortly after Edge charged Hardy into a corner of ring where Edge went down. It’s unclear why he went down or what part of his leg was injured, but the match immediately stopped without any further interaction from the two wrestlers. Referee Charles Robinson threw up the “X” arm signal and the bell rang, awarding Jeff the victory due to Edge not being able to continue. There was a thought that this was a horribly booked work, but Edge even grabbed the mic and apologized to the crowd saying, “Sorry.” Apologizing, of course is not typical of a major heel. The match ended with almost no action what so ever and Edge needed assistance back to the locker room.

The Figure Four Weekly Newsletter reports that the one of the main reasons WWE went with the decision to put the WWE Unified Tag Team Championships on Edge and Chris Jericho is because Edge is banged up right now and doing tag matches will allow him to do slightly less work in the ring. However, it may put him in the ring more often since the Unified champions are slated to appear on all three brands if need be.

On tonight's The Bash PPV. Kane makes a surpurising return to the ring, helping Ziggler against his NO DQ match against The Great Khali. Kane with chair shots to Khali.
I am seeing a big feud coming up between the two monsters. ( Kane and Khali )
Smackdown this week will be worth watching :) .

In a post on her official website, WWE announcer Lilian Garcia announced that she has given notice to WWE officials.

"I hope all of you are doing well! I am writing to address the situation in which WWE is looking for a Female Ring Announcer/Singer. The truth of the matter is that they are looking for someone new because I have given them my notice that I will be leaving at the end of my contract this year. It is with a heavy heart that I have made this decision because WWE has been my family from day one and you, the WWE Universe have always been incredible to me. The fact is that I am getting married later this year and have decided to enter into a new phase of my life but I will truly miss all of you and the WWE tremendously," wrote Garcia.

- Just thought you'd be interested to know that John Cena has officially been in WWE for 7 Years now (official televised debut). 7 Years ago today (yesterday, Saturday) John made his debut on our TV screens and faced off against Kurt Angle.

- You never know if Matt Hardy is posting a cryptic message on his social sites or just leading everyone online on these days but he's posted some messages on Twitter in the past few days after hinting about seeing a doctor in Raleigh, NC last week after reports of him being injured again.
